The management and operation of the University's Treslike halls in Truro requires a provider who can work in partnership with the University to provide excellent customer service to key workers from the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust as well as to students from a number of universities. It involves allocating rooms and licensing residents throughout the year, to maximise occupancy and support the Trust's recruitment needs. The provider needs to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including all health and safety regulations, and provide a responsive building maintenance service to comply with agreed service level agreements. The provider is responsible for proposing and carrying out planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance. Cleaning, grounds maintenance and security are also the responsibility of the provider, as part of managing and presenting well-run accommodation that key workers and students want to select and live in, and for providing a pleasant living environment. The site is approximately 80 miles from the main University of Plymouth campus and the provider needs to work autonomously, taking responsible for the provision of the halls. Monthly reporting to the University on key statistics and meetings with the University, the Trust and others to review services is required. The provider is expected to establish good working relationships with the Trust as well as other interested parties.
