Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) (The "Authority") wishes to invite Tenders for the supply of services in respect of collection, treatment, and disposal of clinical waste and offensive waste services for a number of local authorities situated in Cambridgeshire. In terms of the clinical and offensive waste services that are sought, for the authority administrative area that covers Cambridgeshire County Council, the authority currently has a clinical waste collection, treatment and disposal contract the district authorities include: Cambridge City Council (City), Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC), Fenland District Council (FDC), South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC), East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC). The procurement covers two lots. There will be only one service provider per Lot. Lot 1 Household clinical and where required offensive waste collections, treatment and disposal for the district authority areas (City, ECDC, FDC, HDC and SCDC). Lot 2 The provision of a transfer or treatment facility within Cambridgeshire for the acceptance of clinical and where required offensive waste from all 5 Cambridgeshire authorities (Cambridge City, ECDC, FDC, HDC and SCDC). This lot 2 will ONLY be utilised if lot 1 is NOT awarded. The contract will be let by Cambridgeshire County Council, for a period of three years with a one year extension option. Additional information: The Authority have invested in an e-tendering tool in order to facilitate its tendering processes in a compliant and transparent manner.
