Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) and Dorset Council (working in partnership) require a Carers Identification and Discount Card Service for Carers who are responsible for caring for persons who reside in the BCP Council and Dorset Council conurbations. The purpose of the service is to: • Provide a physical Carers Card for the Dorset area and supporting information such as website, and printed material. • Identify and highlight local and national opportunities to Carers for discounts and concessions. • Provide a means of Carer Identification. • Recruit local businesses to participate in the scheme. • Provide access to opportunities to improve Carers wellbeing, physical and mental health. • Promote personal development and participation of Carers in social activities. • Enhance the Carers quality of life and maximise choice and opportunity It is anticipated that the contract will start January 2023.
