The London Borough of Bromley is inviting tenders from suitably qualified Providers with the relevant experience and technical ability to deliver a Bed-based Short Breaks (Respite) and Day Services for adults with Learning Disabilities. The Service will be based at the Council's current respite setting. Short Breaks is a short-term temporary care for people who are cared for in their own home by a family member or friend and provides a means for the carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities enabling them to sustain their caring arrangements in the Service User's own home. The Service to be provided must be personalised, flexible and responsive to each individual service user accessing the Service. The providers must be innovative and make effective use of assistive technology to improve the short breaks and day service offer to Service Users.
