The Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) Marine Pollution strand will build on work in countries where Cefas and UK marine partnerships are already active, as well as forge new relationships in priority regions. OCPP Marine Pollution will begin by building on the successes of the Commonwealth Litter Programme (CLiP), using established foundations to expand technical training and capacity building in Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) eligible countries and foster collaboration internationally. Marine litter is a problem on Sri Lanka's coasts. OCPP seeks to collect evidence on the extent and nature of the problem, its connection to other forms of marine pollution and the potential impacts on sensitive coastal habitats. Requirement: Following completion of a Contract with Blue Resources Trust, where the Supplier previously surveyed two thirds of the Sri Lankan coastline "developing a programme to assess the presence of marine litter in the coastal seagrass habitats of Sri Lanka", to investigate the availability of seagrass and many additional parameters listed below: - Beach condition (especially landward and seaward) - Pollution status and users/ livelihood of investigated localities - Beach use such as heavy use and others - Amount of beach naturalness - Seagrass availability - Beach vegetation (rapid) - Beach geo-morphology Cefas now require a Supplier to complete the survey previously undertaken as above, and to provide a report to Cefas to show the new data collected under this Contract, combined with the data from the previous survey.
