1.Yoga has been a key component of patient physical and psychological recovery at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court and now at DMRC StanfordHall (SH) since 2012. It has proven to be a highly beneficial component of the rehabilitation offered to military patients 2. Evidence from published research demonstrate that yoga is effective at improving a variety of health-related outcome measures. In addition, there is proven benefit for the management of mental health concerns including stress, anger management, sleep and mood issues which is key in the bio-psychosocial management approach offered by DMRC. 3. Recent anecdotal evidence collected from patients indicated that the yoga sessions provided are highly regarded and contribute immensely to overall patient morale, whilst significantly improving their rehabilitation journey. 4. The Authority will require a Contractor to provide yoga sessions to a wide variety of patients at DMRC SH. 5.The requirement is the delivery of:a.8 x 1-Hour sessions each week that are adaptable to cater for the individual needs of the patients receiving in-patient provision from Upper Quadrant Rehab, Specialisation Rehab, Complex Trauma Rehab, Neurological Rehab, Spines Rehab, Lower Limb Rehab, Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and Vestibular Rehab., b.5 Extra classes every three months for Mild traumatic brain injury(mTBI)and Vestibular Rehab (2 classes for mTBI and 3 classes for Vestibular Rehab) 6.The Contractor is required to record participation levels for each yoga session and forward a monthly summary to the Designated Officer (DO) for audit purposes.7.The Contractor shall liaise with a member of DMRC rehabilitation staff prior to each yoga sessions in order to receive a verbal brief of patient conditions and identify any individual patient considerations/adaptations. The Contractor is never to go against any clinical direction provided by DMRC rehabilitation staff.8.The Contractor shall be required to produce an effective Yoga Session Plan unique to different patient populations taking into account health and safety considerations. All patient safety incidents are to be reported to the DO within 24 hours.The Contractor is to provide evidence of an effective Business Continuity Plan to provide alternate staff to deliver sessions to ensure session delivery is not interrupted by more than 24 hours
