Back-Up Gas Contract to Support the In-House Gas Team Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of a back-up gas contract to support the In-House Gas Team to carry out their work over the next year in order that a focus can be given to the structure and resource of the in-house team. Project Description Swindon Borough Council has a housing stock of approximately 10,400 properties (as of August 2022) consisting mainly of 1, 2, 3- and 4-bedroom houses, 1, 2- and 3-bedroom flats, and 1, 2 and 3-bedroom sheltered housing units. There are seven blocks of multi-storey flats above 3 storeys. 84% of the properties are estate based and are within a 6-mile radius of Swindon town centre. The remainder are in rural areas within a 15-mile radius. The works shall include (but not restricted to) the following: • Boiler changes and upgrades • Gas pipe work replacement/upgrades • Radiator installs • Heating/ HW pipe work installs • Cylinder Replacements • Fault diagnosis and boiler spares replacement Full details are contained within the Services Contract RFQ documents, which are available to review via the ProContract tender portal The initial contract term will be for 9 Months with an option to extend for a further 3 Months (potential total contract term of 12 months) The estimated contract spend is approximately £130k across the initial 9 Month contract term. To participate in this Restricted Procedure, Suppliers will need to register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the RFQ documents. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically via Messaging in ProContract tender portal.
