There are approximately 56 corporate buildings within the area of Westmorland and Furness council to be included in this procurement process, including offices, care homes, day care centres, libraries and archives. The services will be divided into two lots. Lot 1 - General & Recycling Waste Lot 2 - Confidential Waste Regulations require Councils to handle waste in line with Waste Hierarchy and review current practices making sure everything possible is done to reduce, re-use, re-cycle or recover waste. Tenderers are invited to bid for one or more Lots and will be awarded on the basis of the offer that is the most economically advantageous to the Council for each individual Lot.
