The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is the appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for enforcing the Ecodesign Regulations for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations within the UK. Suppliers are strongly encouraged to read the text at the following link in order to gain a full understanding of the role of the enforcement services within OPSS: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-regulation-enforcement-services OPSS will carry out market surveillance to determine the current levels of compliance in the Industrial Fans sector in line with the requirements for Ecodesign Regulations. 2. Aims and Objectives To test five Industrial Fans / Acoustic Box Fans, ranging from 6" 1500m3/hr to 10" 2500m3/hr, to determine their compliance with EU regulations listed below - in British Standards where applicable. - Retained Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 327/2011 with regard to the Ecodesign requirements for Industrial Fans. Testing should be conducted under Measurement category B as referenced in the Ecodesign regulations. 3. Testing General Requirements Below is a brief summary of our evidential requirements and reporting, a full description of the requirements are listed within the Invitation To Tender docuents. 3.1. Quality - General 3.1.1. Harmonised Standards: 3.1.2. Independence/Impartiality: 3.1.3. Competency: Only EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited test facilities will be considered. 3.1.4. Evidence Handling: 3.1.5. Test Reports: 3.2. Quality - Transportation - Suppliers will collect all items from OPSS,Office in Teddington returning them on completion of testing. 3.3. Quality - Management 3.4.
