UKSP1 3.1 Ashford Borough Council wishes to commission the following service: Preventative interventions for those children and young people (CYP) up to the age of 25 at risk of serious youth violence, knife offences, drug supply or criminal exploitation by improving health, education and employment. Protective interventions for those CYP up to the age of 25 who are involved in gangs or violence by improving health, education and employment. Both service elements will be required to deliver trauma informed, needs led approaches with the aim of supporting CYP and their close relatives or immediate support network to reduce risk and prevent serious youth violence, exploitation and gang and county line activity across the borough of Ashford. Delivery must understand and be targeted at key reachable moments with the aim of nurturing positive change in CYP, including promoting a healthy lifestyle.
