Description

Border Force wish to run a pilot service for forensic testing at multiple locations across the UK. Border Force are seeking ways to protect staff on the front line and provide a forensic testing service for goods in three use cases: * Before adoption by our prosecuting partner, NCA, to confirm the presence of prohibited substances. * When items have been seized following an indication of a prohibited substance and then appealed leading to condemnation cases. * Where no safe through barrier testing is available and the goods are suspected of being high harm. This pilot service will run for a duration of 12 months to allow Border Force to asses the need and refine their requirements. To participate, potential suppliers must first be registered on the Home Office eSourcing Portal (Jagger).
