PLEASE NOTE THIS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST RESULTED IN NON AWARD. Independent Fostering Agency Placements for Children in Care Only NCT welcome Expressions of Interest from providers in relation to providing Emergency Foster Carers on a Block Contract arrangement. Requirements • The description of Emergency for the purpose of this requirement is; Where a child or young person requires an immediate home, that is not planned. This can be same day, at any time of day or night, or with 1-2 days' notice. The child or young person would be expected to stay with the foster carer for up to 28 days (recognising this may sometimes be longer) whilst long term arrangements are put in place. This will also include children on remand to the local authority and "PACE beds" (Section 38 (6) Police and Criminal Evidence (PACE) Act 1984 places a duty on the police to transfer children who have been refused bail to local authority accommodation rather than keeping them in the police station overnight). This service will be procured under the Light Touch Regime.
