The contract is to supply machinery to support horticultural maintenance at RBG Kew's gardens as Kew and Wakehurst Place. This includes general purpose pedestrian machinery and small agricultural machinery. This purchase will replace existing aging machinery and will contribute to RBG Kew's strategy to become climate positive by 2030 through introduction of PTO driven machinery to replace internal combustion ones. The machinery must have the physical capabilities, environmental credentials, and suitability for the diverse site conditions at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst Place. They serve a range of garden functions both for the outdoor gardens and glasshouse teams.
