Addition of sports themed play equipment to existing play areas The Council is seeking tenders from reputable play companies to supply and install 3 pieces of new equipment with a sports agility theme to complement its existing equipment in two areas. The first area is known locally as the 'Bombhole' site in Oxley Shaw Lane, Leybourne, West Malling Kent ME19 5PU. Currently this grassed open space area has a basket swing, plus slide and frame for climbing built into slope on one side of the area. We are looking to provide a high-quality piece of agility sports equipment for children aged 8 upwards that is challenging, tests strength and balance. Alongside this we are looking for a ball game unit that can accommodate several users at one time that enhances ball skills for younger children up to teens. This area always has public access. The second area is in a lockable area next to a MUGA area in Oxley Shaw Lane, Leybourne, West Malling, Kent ME19 5NQ, predominately used for older teens in the parish. We are looking to install an outdoor table tennis table here to go along side the existing teen shelters. We recommend a site visit to appreciate the site-specific conditions. Site visits are welcome and a council representative can be available to meet interested contractors. Budget for all equipment including installation and delivery is up to £40,000 excluding VAT.
