Sheffield Hallam University has purchased a suite of Mechatronic Training Systems and a Modular Production System (MPS) station. Each MTS station will consist of a stacking magazine, a conveyor belt, a handling station, 3 analogue sensors and all appropriate cables. These pieces of equipment needed to be compatible with our existing piece of equipment. This purchase includes a 24 month warranty. These will be used to demonstrate and educate engineers in mechatronics engineering comprising control, analogue and digital instrumentation, IoT/Industry 4.0 and process automation. This equipment will be used by Undergraduate and apprenticeship students on the Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Aerospace and Rail Engineering and Engineering Manufacturing Technician programmes. They will be used for teaching and for specific student projects.
