This is an award notice only and not a call to competition. UKAEA has a large procurement and supply chain team and currently manage over £250m a year of third party spend. As a non-governmental department of Department of Energy Security and Net Zero we follow the Government Commercial Framework and need to provide regular reporting on social value commitments and delivery. This currently managed through a spreadsheet and whilst the promise is recorded the administration around ensuring updates are captured is creating a lot of work for the Supply Chain team. There was therefore a need for a Social Value Portal to be put in place which was done via G Cloud 13.
