The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking to engage suppliers with direct experience of working with Local Authorities across the country. RBKC is committed to promoting filming in the borough, as being film friendly and supporting the perception and reality of London as a film friendly city by providing good quality film location support for production companies; clear and competitive pricing, efficient, responsive, and easily accessible booking systems and ensuring the service is responsive to customer feedback. The Authority's Culture Plan 2020-2021 also featured commitments to offering support and advice for filmmakers, working with productions intending to use the borough as a film location to develop a range of "behind the scenes" careers trips for young residents, prioritising Looked After Children and Carer Leavers (LAC). A managed service will deliver a coordinated and professional approach to film and photography facilitation in the borough and minimise negative impacts on residents. The Authority is looking for a partner with an aim to provide: 1. Effective and Efficient one-stop service. 2. Minimal Disruption to local business and residents. 3. Collect Film and Photography data to be shared with the council. The Council is ideally seeking to engage with a provider with relevant qualification and experience to discuss what this service may look like.
