Following on from phase 1 of the Queens Park play refurbishment completed in 2023, council officers have continued to work closely with Friends of Queens Park on the next phase of the playground refurbishment. Which will benefit users with a range of equipment that will give children of all abilities the opportunity to play together. The next phase we would like to make improvements to the toddler area and introducing play equipment to the sand pit, connecting the two levels, that will suit a wide range of physical and sensory needs for children under the age of 6. Part of this second phase will see the addition of high-level dynamic climbing/agility equipment suitable for 12 + . With the addition of a Zip Wire. The successful bidder is required to design, supply, deliver and install play area equipment and carry out associated enabling works as in accordance with the Service Specification and Appendix A. Bidders must be able to supply, deliver and install all aspects of the specification. Bidders who are unable to demonstrate this will be deemed to be non-compliant.
