Sport England are aiming to procure a supplier, or consortium of suppliers, through a single contract to maintain the continuity of the MC service for existing users and further develop the data collection, analysis and improvement service to understand physical activity levels and their wider impact in places across England. Key Objectives: The service should help to achieve the following objectives: Provide national data collection and dashboard reporting on participation levels to support policy and decision making. Sport England will be a primary user of this and will use the platform to inform work with wider stakeholders, including central government. Provide local data collection and reporting to support local authorities in the management and delivery of their strategies to achieve their local strategic outcomes. Demonstrate how physical activity contributes to wider outcomes for local communities and articulate the impacts on population health, wellbeing and the social value of services to elected members and stakeholders. Provide benchmarking across key performance measures to allow comparison to other key metrics. Maintain relevant user access levels to build confidence and trust in the service depending a user's role and interest of a particular group (e.g. leisure operators view of their public leisure centre data only) Promote and facilitate knowledge sharing and use of the data/findings across stakeholders to build capacity and capability, share lessons learnt and best practice to influence place-based delivery at scale. Drive a baseline level of compliance accreditation across leisure facilities with the primary objective of raising standards across the physical activity sector in the UK Establish developmental priorities based on use of the platform as they emerge both locally and nationally to innovate and improve the approach. Provide data to the National Evaluation and Learning Partner and where relevant, other teams in Sport England, to fulfil the commitment made as part of the wider evaluation and learning approach.
