1. Poynton Town Council (PTC) is offering opportunities for tree management work: planned and reactive maintenance and other arboriculture services. Suitably qualified and experienced companies are required to provide a comprehensive range of arboriculture work within PTC sites, working to improve health and safety of trees and increase environmental benefits. By providing your indicative service costs and details, and successfully obtaining PTC Approved Contractor status, you will be eligible for potential arboriculture contract opportunities including: • A three year programme of planned and identified tree management works arising from PTC risk assessments • Other planned and reactive, including emergency, tree management works 2. Specification Location of tree sites - Coppice Road Allotments, Brecon Play Area, Civic Hall, Hockley Park, Lady's Incline and Prince's Incline Please provide: • Details of services, personnel and resources • Indicative costs, including hourly rates, call out charges or other additional charges for planned and emergency work • If installation of Town Christmas Tree (not lights) is possible • Response times and other benefits of your service offer • Your experience of planned and reactive tree management works, applying for Tree Works to the Local Planning Authority (including TPOs) and for Highways licences permitting works on roads and pavements • Complete Approved Contractor Appraisal Questionnaire form specifying • Environmental and sustainability credentials. • Relevant insurances and licences • Qualifications and memberships of professional organisations • British Standards to which you work • Risk management including: working at heights, use of power tools, and disposal of waste (Risk Assessment Method Statement will need to be provided ) 3. This opportunity is from 1 April 2025 for three years. 4. This work is limited to trees on PTC land. 5. Any conditions should be stated including • Insurance requirements on PTC • Requirements for PTC to provide additional data 6. Variations and termination How would you deal with requests for variations e.g. changes such as increases/decreases in the number of trees, adverse weather, serious tree disease. Include known costs and notice periods. Please state how would you deal with any changes in your service. Include costs and notice periods. Variations for price reviews should be explicitly stated. *Please note that any price increase above inflation (consumer prices index) may lead to a review and termination of approved contractor status. All contractors will be assessed for PTC's Approved Contractors List prior to commencement.
