Devon and Cornwall Police maintain a fleet of vehicles which operate as dual role Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) and Roads Policing Unit (RPU) vehicles. These vehicles are the only 24/7 roads policing unit deployed throughout the Force. The vehicles carry weapons, roads policing equipment, Officers personal kit, shields and first aid supplies.
