Payroll and Pension Service

Description

The service will be provided: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm Staff may be available earlier or later than the times specified. Background NHS Payroll Services is hosted by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. The Service is accountable to the Director of Finance, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. This services Schedule defines the services, which are delivered by Payroll Services in respect of the contract for the provision of payroll and associated services. It also sets out the respective roles and responsibilities of Payroll Services and the Trust in facilitating and undertaking the delivery of those services. Payroll Procedures Payroll Services will adhere to procedures in respect of all processes associated with implementation and the responsibilities relating to the Service Level Agreement. Trust Procedures The Trust will adhere to procedures in respect of all processes associated with implementation and the responsibilities relating to the Service Level Agreement. Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFI) Trust SFI's will be adhered to by both the Trust and Payroll Services, where these documents are made available. Both parties will at all times operate to accepted professional practice in the performance of this service and will be subject to regular audit. Local Terms and Conditions of Service The Trust will supply to Payroll Services local documented agreements that affect pay, including locally agreed policies and procedures. Further additions or amendments will be supplied to Payroll Services. Payroll Services will operate in line with nationally agreed terms and conditions together with local agreements. Controls Assurance. Payroll Services processes will meet the requirements of the both Statutory and NHS requirements.
