Purchase of Generators - Ukrainian Government

Description

Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and a request for the supply of generators by the Government of Ukraine as the escalating bombardment is causing an humanitarian disaster, BEIS wishes to purchase generators and have them delivered to an identified location for handover to a representative of the Ukrainian Government Government are aware of the extreme urgency for generators, of various sizes, due to the growing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the vulnerability of their grid. Ukraine's need for assistance to sustain power generation is unforeseeable and urgently required, thus we are procuring contracts under Regulation 32 (2)(a)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulation 2015, which allows government to procure via negotiation without prior public publication due to reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events that were unforeseeable
