The overall aim of this service is to provide a high quality, non-discriminatory service which enables pupils to fully access and be successful in their learning environment. The Service will: • Upskill educators to recognise and respond to children and young people with occupational performance difficulties in educational settings • Deliver training programmes to support educators to identify and respond to children and young people's occupational performance needs • Provide short-term specialist Occupational Therapy interventions within a school context which can be delivered by educators wherever possible • Provide a high quality, inclusive service which supports pupils to fully access and achieve their educational outcomes in their learning environment • Provide occupational therapy intervention directly with children and young people • Contribute towards SEND support in schools to achieve Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's vision for its children and young people and prevent the need for acute interventions
