Brief Description of Requirement The overall aim of the exercise is to inform BEIS decision making regarding the Atlantic Constellation. The results of the consultation shall include: • A summary of possible UK use cases for an Atlantic Constellation, including climate science, coastal applications, and oceanography, as well as commercial opportunities to create downstream services; • Analysis of gaps in present data/information sources available to the UK, which an Atlantic Constellation might fill; • A brief analysis and recommended UK response to the current preliminary definition and requirements documents produced by the AIR Association (attached); • Suggested technical innovation opportunities for the UK arising from new instrumentation, algorithms, models, etc.; • A summary of UK industrial and other business opportunities arising through engagement in implementation of the system; and • Considerations of potential interest to BEIS and other UK government departments and agencies, including UKSA, Innovate UK and the Research Councils.
