Sheffield City Council has a responsibility to ensure that all firefighting equipment is operating in an effective and efficient way and is maintained in line with the relevant guidelines and legislation. The Service Provider will be required to undertake tasks to ensure the efficient running of all firefighting equipment, as well as maximising life cycle expectancy. This Specification details the service tasks for each type of plant/equipment required to be undertaken. GENERAL Applicability 101 This initial general section applies to all subsequent sections of this Specification. 102 The Service Provider's tendered rates include for carrying out all tasks required by this Specification. No further payment is due to the Service Provider in respect of any such tasks beyond the payments provided for in the tendered rates. 103 This Specification covers all Periodic Servicing, Responsive Maintenance and Out of Hours Emergency Work to all installations within the boundaries of the Client's properties. Standards of Workmanship and Materials 104 The Service Provider shall:- Carry out and complete all Works as required by this Contract including: • in accordance with all Law including Health and Safety Law. • in accordance with Good Industry Practice. • in accordance with the Client's Policies. • in accordance with the Client's standard drawings and details (where provided). • in accordance with any specific requirements for those Works in this Specification; and • to the satisfaction of the Client's Representative (acting reasonably). The Client's Representative will be agreed with the Service Provider at commencement of the contract.
