The Council has been delivering an Air Festival Hospitality offering since 2018. The purpose of the Air Festival Hospitality is to bring an income stream into the Air Festival and offer a high end hospitality for businesses directly on the flightline further raising the awareness of the event to boost the local economy and to add financially to the event and reputation. The Air Festival Hospitality consists of a covered marquee with a kitchen and decking area in a prime location on the seafront where guests book a ticket for the day to include, food, some drink and entertainment. There is also some private charity and corporate evening functions and a business engagement breakfast meeting. \r \r The catering services for the Air Festival Hospitality is delivered by a third party. It is intended to use Gideon Hitchen to deliver the catering services including all food ordering and menu design for the Summer Hospitality Provision. Gideon Hitchen is responsible for the planning and on site management and delivery of the catering services including the design of the kitchen, ordering and auditing of the food orders, all associated food hygiene, menu design along with the supply of suitably qualified staffing to undertake the catering services. Gideon Hitchen is paid a fixed fee to deliver these services and he will receive a profit share of 10% net should the operation make profit after all the expenditure is taken out.
