Description

The health of the people of Kent is not improving at the rate we would want it to and on some areas we are seeing a real or a relative deterioration in health outcomes. To address these challenges the Kent Public Health division are working across the wider system to develop a system wide Public Health Strategy that will focus on the wider determinants of health. One key element of this will be engagement with people in Kent. This will include a population survey, work with vulnerable groups led by Healthwatch and a third element that includes detailed conversations with people in the community to best understand the challenges and issues they face. We would wish these conversations to be between these residents and the senior leadership within the system partners including the County, Districts and NHS. It is this third element ONLY that is the subject of this award. Work has already commenced in identifying and starting to secure buy in for the system leaders who will be engaging in these conversations.
