Project Objective(s) • Clearly identify and summarise the existing barriers to investment for UK port infrastructure and manufacturing facilities relevant to offshore wind in the UK; • Clearly identify and summarise the key factors affecting the competitiveness of UK ports and co-location manufactured facilities, in the international context; • Develop a number of credible investment models / mechanisms which have the potential, if implemented, to effectively address the barriers identified, and improve competitiveness (as appropriate); • Directly inform current policy of the UK Government and Scottish Government with respect to offshore wind related infrastructure development and investment; • Illustrate the application of these schemes in a series of realistic case studies.
