This is an Invitation to Quote for the provision of Asset Based Community Mapping is being conducted by NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board for the Basildon and Brentwood Alliance. The Basildon and Brentwood Alliance seeks a suitably qualified provider to undertake an exercise of mapping community assets across Basildon and Brentwood to provide a wealth of insight and detail into the experiences of residents across Basildon and Brentwood borough councils. Undertaking a neighbourhood level approach to understanding health and wellbeing we can build a picture that will help to enable early intervention and prevention as well as supporting our communities to thrive. By identifying what assets exist within our local communities, we can build on what is working well, avoid duplication and target positive outcomes where there is greatest opportunity. An initial period of scoping and discovery, assessing the current landscape would be required. The provider will adopt the Nurture Development - www.nurturedevelopment.org methodology of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD): - Resident led - residents must drive change and be active participants in making change in their communities - Relationship oriented - by working together, residents and organisations can maximise their potential and utilise the skills and assets they have - Asset-Based - identifying 'what's strong, not what's wrong' - Placed-Based - surveying assets and opportunities at a neighbourhood level - Inclusion focused - being flexible with our concept of boundaries that may exist - The mapping outcomes will feed in to the Live Well domains - Start Well - Giving children the best start in life - Feel Well - Supporting mental wellbeing - Be Well - Empowering adults to be active and make healthy lifestyle choices - Age Well - Supporting people to live safely and independently as they grow older - Stay Well - Supporting adults with health or care concerns to access support and maintain healthy, productive and fulfilling lives - Die Well - Giving individuals nearing end of life choice around their care We would expect that as a result of the Asset Based Community Mapping exercise, the Basildon and Brentwood Alliance would be able to: - Improve understanding of the current strengths and capacity of community assets within the Basildon and Brentwood Alliance footprint - Improve partnership working - A clear understanding of resident's experience of accessing these assets - Benchmarking of current offer and identifications of areas for development. The contract will be for 12 months and have a maximum budget of £90,000.00.
