The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is seeking to appoint a design and build contractor to refresh and update the narrative / interpretation of the HMS Gallery within Storehouse 10 at the National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN), Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. On 3rd April 2014, the Babcock Galleries opened at the NMRN's Portsmouth Historic Dockyard site. The project created 'HMS' - Hear My Story exhibition, which tells the story of the 20th and 21st century Royal Navy and its people. The new galleries included a temporary exhibition space at the far end of the visitor route. The end of the gallery which tells the story of the modern navy is now 9 years old so we want the area updated and refreshed in line with the NMRN interpretation strategy and the NMRN Master Narrative. This gallery should bring the story of the Royal Navy up to date and be able to be updated so that it is always current. Site visits are strongly recommended for all suppliers interested, with site visits to be held on Monday 28th November and Tuesday 29th November 2022 respectively. Please contact [email protected] to arrange this. Additional information: NOTE- For interpretation documentation that gives context to this work such as the Master Narrative and the NMRN Interpretation Strategy this must be requested. Please register your interest in the tender by emailing [email protected] quoting the tender title or reference number. Then this will be sent to interested suppliers via link to download.
