Provision of Remedial Works for the Maintenance and Refurbishment of the Blackpool Steel Structure

Description

Blackpool Council is looking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified remedial works contracting firm in order to undertake remedial works for the maintenance and refurbishment of the Blackpool Tower steel structure which consists of an initial remedial package of works as out lined in the tender documents. It is anticipated that this work will commence November 2022 and will be completed by the 24th March 2023, to allow the Tower to operate by Easter 2023. The Contract may be extended to incorporate other packages of work with the successful Contractor for up to (no more than) 4 years (subject to contract review and budget availability). It is to be noted that there is no guarantee of future packages. Should there be the need for such a requirement the successful bidder will be asked to provide a price and quality response for the work specified however the Council reserves the right to seek other bids to enable value for money to be achieved.
