Homeless Review and Strategy 2023

Description

A review of homelessness and homelessness services in Sefton was conducted in 2018 which formed the basis of Sefton's current Homelessness & Rough Sleeping Strategy (published in January 2019). This Strategy clearly sets out the strategic framework for Sefton by bringing together policies and initiatives agreed by stakeholder partners in one document, setting out a clear direction for preventing and reducing homelessness. The Strategy also informed subsequent decisions and actions for commissioning of homelessness services. To continue to meet its statutory obligations under the Homelessness Act 2002, and to engage with service users and providers on homelessness issues, Sefton Council wishes to commission a further comprehensive review of homelessness services and its Homeless Strategy and is inviting submissions from qualified and experienced organisations capable of undertaking this work. The successful organisation will be required to undertake this work in accordance with Communities and Local Government guidance and best practice. Please note that the Council will expect the successful organisation to take into account the additional duties introduced through the 2017 Homelessness Reduction Act.
