***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the CCS RM6126 Research & Insights DPS Brief Description of Requirement The Energy Company Obligation scheme (ECO) was launched in January 20131. The scheme requires obligated energy suppliers2 to deliver energy efficiency and heating measures to homes in Great Britain3. These measures aim to provide energy savings to help households keep their homes warmer and more comfortable to live in, reduce their energy bills and reduce their carbon emissions. The Government's Clean Growth Strategy4 has an aspiration for as many homes as possible to reach EPC Band C by 2035 where practical, cost effective and affordable. ECO is one of several key policies which will help achieve this, with a particular focus on bringing down bills for low income and vulnerable households.
