City of Wolverhampton Council is looking to procure a suite of resources that enable primary phase settings in the city to deliver high quality, consistent RSE through a coordinated approach. Resources will be part of a structured progressive programme to provide age-appropriate quality content in each year group for children in reception year through to year 6. Resources must suitable and accessible for delivery by both School Nurses and school staff. The supplier must be able to provide resources that meet the outlined quality standards: 1. Provide full curriculum coverage for KS1 & 2 across the DfE RSE mandatory topics: Family and relationships, Health and wellbeing, Safety and the changing body. (Further detail can be found here Relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)) 2. Provide a distinct programme of resources for puberty and sex education lessons. 3. All sessions/lessons should provide sufficient detail, resources and supporting information to allow experts and non-experts to deliver with confidence. 4. Resources should be creative and interactive e.g., include animations or videos to engage learners and deliverers. 5. Provide suitable assessment tools for each topic/year group. The successful provider will be expected to: 6. Provide a training session to School Nurses and school staff to introduce the resources. 7. Provide quality and accessible ongoing digital training, CPD and support to users of the resources (teachers/school nurses). 8. Provide digital guidance for parents to support the resources. City of Wolverhampton currently has 80 primary phase settings and therefore will require a maximum of 80 licence agreements. Where a Wolverhampton setting already has a contract/licence agreement with the chosen provider, the provider will need to work with City of Wolverhampton Council and the setting, to transition the setting to this offer as any individual setting licence agreements come to an end. Resources will be required for settings for a period of 3 years. Access to resources will be required from: • 27/3/23 - 26/3/24 • 27/3/24 - 26/3/25 • 27/3/25 - 26/3/26
