Cefas requires the Contractor to provide a high quality Sample Collection service for various species of live bivalve molluscs and water as defined in relevant European and UK Legislation and further described in the Legal Framework for sample collection, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be provided as a DVD and the Protocols for Official Controls sampling and transport of water samples from shellfish production areas, for official controls sampling and transport of shellfish Sample Submission Form and Norovirus survey study. The scope of this Schedule is for a Sample Collection service across Scotland, for the purpose of the FSS E.coli, toxins, phytoplankton and Chemical contaminants official control monitoring programmes over the whole duration of the Contract.
