Description

The university requires two autoclaves to be used for general laboratory biohazard waste disposal (fluids, plastics, agar plates, etc.). Both autoclaves shall: • Be fully installed and commissioned by 8th September 2023 • Come with minimum 12-month warranty • Come with maintenance contract Main autoclave: • Minimum sterilisation of 121 degrees for 15 minutes • Minimum 200 litre capacity • Plumbed in • Square chamber • Pre- and post-vacuum system • Internal steam generator • Steam jacket • Vertical sliding door • Water softener discard box • Maximum External Dimensions of machine: Width = 760mm, Height = 1900mm, Depth = 1650mm (including pipework) • Must fit through doorway entrance (both inner and outer doors): 770mm Existing on-site services: • Mains water supply • 3 phase (63Amp) electrical power • Drainage Small autoclave: • Minimum sterilisation of 121 degrees for 15 minutes • Minimum 40 litre capacity with electrically heated elements. • No plumbing requirements. • Maximum External Dimensions of machine: Width = 600mm, Height = 725mm, Depth = 775mm • Stand included to hold autoclave at a height of at least 900mm above floor.
