This procurement is in respect of the Calderdale Care Partnership Local Enhanced Service - Primary Care - Quality Assured Spirometry Service. Calderdale Cares Partnership wishes to commission a Calderdale-wide, primary care-based spirometry service to: - Provide a timely, easy to access, quality assured spirometry service to patients a.whose symptoms commonly fit with COPD for those patients identified and treated for COPD and require a diagnosis . b. For patients prior to adding to the COPD register from 1 April 2022. c. For those patients with intermediate probability of Asthma or as part of investigation of shortness of breath to make a diagnosis. - Provide this assessment to enable the referring GP/clinician to initiate appropriate future management - Provide this service closer to home - Enable early diagnosis, leading to improved quality of life - Represent value for money in terms of quality and costs - To offer all patients an appointment within 4 weeks The contract will have a term of 3 years with an option of a two year extension period and value of the contract is anticipated to be £159,110.
