Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council is seeking a suitably qualified pool contractor to replace the main pool filter media at Jubilee-2 Swimming Pool. > All filter media should be provided with the relevant quality assurance documentation and confirmation of source as required. The total depth of the filter media will be approximately 1,000mm comprising of a graded gravel under-bed: 20mm/10mm, 6mm gravel, and 16/30 & 8/16 grades of glass media. This will be required for three filters. > The contractor must ensure that the works must comply with statutory and other obligations of the Council, public services, or any other statutory undertaking relating to the execution of the works, and in particular: > Swimming pool water treatment and quality standards published by PWTAG Managing health and safety in swimming pools, Health and Safety Executive. Construction and design management regulations. BS7671 regulations for electrical installations. The Health and Safety at Work act 1974. Relevant British standard specifications and codes of practice.
