The contract will seek to examine the work undertaken by YOTs in relation to supervising care-experienced children, focusing on the following questions: -What are seen to be the elements of a successful strategy for working with those with care experience? -Are there effective relationships with other agencies to meet the needs of those with care experience? -Have staff been provided with the necessary guidance and training in relation to working with those with care experience? How do YOT staff rate their knowledge about how best to work with those with care experience? -What are the common challenges, difficulties and barriers to good practice encountered by YOT staff working with those with care experience? -What are the critical success factors and areas of good practice for working with those with care experience? How can any barriers be effectively addressed? -To what extent is the local implementation of the National Protocol on Reducing Un-necessary Criminalisation of Looked-After-Children and Care Leavers having a meaningful and positive impact on the work undertaken by YOTs supervising care-experienced children?
