Bilston Market Refurbishment will transform the market, raising its profile locally and securing its future through a range of measures, including: • Replacement of time expired infrastructure • Provision of a new canopy to the outdoor market • Demolition and re-provision of the public toilets • Creation of a flexible trading and outdoor events space • New signage and branding providing a contemporary outward facing facility These works are funded through grant allocations provided by the Towns Fund and the Levelling Up Fund. The project forms part of a broader strategic initiative to support economic regeneration, enhance local infrastructure, and improve public spaces within Bilston. The funding timelines and requirements necessitate adherence to strict reporting and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with the terms of the grants. Additionally, this initiative aligns with the City of Wolverhampton Council's wider objectives for community development and investment in key urban areas. The Pre Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) will enable the Council to work with the contractor to value engineer the scheme within the budget, ensuring the scheme meets the needs of the Council. Entering into the PCSA does not commit the Council to continue on to the main works contract. This contract is a call off of the CCS Construction Works and Associated Services RM6088 Lot 2.1.
