Provision of Linen Hire and Laundry Service

Bangor University is seeking a supplier for the Provision of Linen Hire and Laundry Service to multiple sites across Bangor University North Wales. This contract will be for the Provision of Linen Hire and Laundry Service for multiple locations across Bangor University including but not limited to: -The Management Centre which offers 56 en-suite guest bedrooms graded as Visit Wales 4 Star. Located on the University campus with stunning views of the Menai Strait and Anglesey. -Friddoedd Site Long & Short-Term Accommodation, the rooms are all en-suite single bedrooms arranged within units of 8 with shared kitchen facilities. -Reichel Hall Catering Services The contract will involve the processing (wash and finish) and transportation (collection and return) of linen items from various sites. The Linen will be hired from the supplier, however, there will be need for Bangor University’s own Shower Curtains to be laundered on a regular basis and other products on an ad-hoc basis. The Linen which Bangor University currently hire and have laundered and estimated annual quantities are as follows: Basic Range Single Sheet- 3290 Basic Range Single D/Cover- 3140 Basic Range Bag P/Case- 29320 Basic Range Hand Towel- 3470 Basic Range Bath Towel- 2870 Basic Range Double Sheet- 3370 Basic Range King Sheet- 4810 Basic Range Super King Sheet- 1095 Mid-Range Satin Stripe Double D/Cover- 3305 Mid-Range Satin Stripe King D/Cover- 4895 Mid-Range Satin Stripe Super King D/Cover- 1150 Mid-Range Hand Towel- 10490 Mid-Range Bath Sheet- 12675 Mid-Range Bathmat- 8970 White 90x90 Tablecloth- 3245 Black 90x90 Tablecloth- 630 White 70 x 70 Tablecloth- 154 White 70 x 108 Tablecloth- 223 White 118 inch Round Tablecloth- 252 White Napkin- 10218 Due to the nature of the contract there will be increase in demand around conference season during the months of May-September and peak Hospitality season around April-October. The University would like to understand the level of interest in the market place for Linen Hire and Laundry Service therefore are inviting any interested Organisations to submit an expression of interest to this early opportunity notice. The expected date for release of the Tender notice will be approximately (30/04/2025)
