RFQ: Procurement of Mobile Laboratory Facility

Description

The National Physical Laboratory's [NPL] requirement is for a mobile laboratory facility to host sensor testing activities. Key elements to its design and construction are the weight, mobility, security, and robustness of the facility. The inside and outside setup of the mobile laboratory facility needs to withstand long-distance travel and be safe while being used in stationary conditions and moving on roads. It must be delivered in a complete state to allow installation and operation of scientific equipment. The scientific equipment is NOT part of the bidding process. With an open door, the facility must allow comfortable manoeuvres for two people to be able to set up the scientific equipment. Once set up, the facility must accommodate unattended and long duration measurement sessions. With pre-installed air conditioning and heating system, it must provide a stable temperature and humidity environment while measurements are recorded. The facility must comply to the relevant and current industry standards for transport, and any electrical installations to the relevant and current industry regulations. The facility is to be towed by a suitable vehicle. The vehicle is NOT part of the bidding process. Additional information: The Authority is using the LUPC Bravo e-Procurement portal to conduct the procurement process. All Suppliers must register their company via the LUPC Bravo Portal.
