***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded as a direct award under the CCS Framework Management Consultancy Framework Three (MCF3) Lot 2 RM6187 Brief Description of Requirement To procure one project management adviser who will work with the Net Zero Green Jobs and Skills team to provide project management and policy expertise to the delivery of the Net Zero and Nature Workforce Action Plan programme (Action Plan); a departmental priority for our energy security and net zero objectives. The type of expertise needed cover a specialist will be split of approx. 80% focussed on programme (incl. project) management and 20% on providing analytical and problem-solving expertise to develop policy solutions. This will include (but is not limited to): - Lead the strategic planning and bring together multiple workstreams to build a realistic project plan for the 2024 Action Plan. - Provide a critical friend function to enable effective working of the team across multiple workstreams of the programme, including reviewing and improving delivery and govern- ing processes. - Support the delivery of the Green Jobs Delivery Group meetings in autumn/winter 2023, including lead thinking on how the Group can effectively drive the Action Plan policy de- velopment. - Conduct regular assurance deep dives on programme delivery with the project team and where relevant with supporting wider government departments. - Upskill the team on project management.
