This contract is for the refurbishment of existing buildings into changing room facilities at King James I Academy.\r King James I Academy is a Grade II Listed Building, based at South Church Road, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 7JZ consisting of a medium size academy school and sixth form centre for mixed gender aged 11-18 in the town of Bishop Auckland in County Durham. The buildings to be refurbished are just one area of the Academy site.\r This Project is to be funded by King James I Academy and the Academy has submitted an application for funding through Historic England and Property Reuse Fund Round 2 to support the delivery of the scope and achievement of the strategic objectives for this project. Should the Academy be unsuccessful in obtaining all / some funding the Project may be modified accordingly, (unless an alternative funding source is identified). Progression of this procurement exercise and any award of this contract opportunity will be conditional on confirmation of sufficient funds being available and/or modification of the Project requirements.\r Due to the nature of the works site visits will be pre-arranged for bidding organisations and an allocated time and date will be given between the dates of 19th / 20th / 21st April 2023.
