RDE408 - Refreshing the National framework for water resources

Description

An updated National Framework is due for publication in Spring 2025 with a focus on multi-sector planning. This project is a key building block of the refreshed National Framework. It will examine the impact of the above commitments on addressing shortfalls in water supply, achieving current environmental objectives and maintaining long-term environmental protection using updated projections for climate change and growth. Aims: The aims of this project are to develop a suite of updated climate change, growth and environmental destination scenario outputs: 1. to inform our National Framework, revised version due to be published Spring 2025 2. for use by Regional Groups to facilitate cross sector planning including non-water industry activities in the next round of regional planning The contract was awarded by EA.
