The University of West London (UWL) wishes to appoint a professional firm to provide works as per the requirement in the pre-construction document. Both service cost and quality are of paramount importance to the University. The University of West London wishes to engage a Principal Contractor to provide a key-turn solution to survey, investigate, validate, design, supply and install 3 x passenger lifts and 1 x fire fitting lift and Paragon house campus. The works are to take place whilst the building is fully operational with both staff, students and external hire guests making use of the building throughout the programme as well as other small works contractors undertaking business-as-usual maintenance and works. It is therefore imperative that the works are undertaken and completed in a sympathetic manner. The new contract will commence from February 2024 the new lifts will be installed in a phase programme to ensure 3 lifts are in potation at any one time and must complete by including all design, manufacture, and installation. The Principal Contractor will be fully responsible for arranging, design, supply, installation and compliance of the refurbished lifts and associated works to including safe access to undertake the works including full risk assessment and method statements considering the internal and external site and the close location of the adjacent neighbours.
