Description

Islington Council - Community Wealth Building has a number of sites across the corporate estate with Building management Systems (BMS) systems managed by various suppliers. There is a opportunity from the Energy Opportunities Fund to upgrade all BMS systems to a IQ4 Trend system and have this managed by one supplier. This will mean a cost saving to the council both in terms of service delivery and a energy saving working towards Islington's Carbon Zero target in 2030. There will be benefits to the cost of managing BMS servicing and repair by using a single contractor. With more accurate oversight and visibility of controls and sensors it will be possible to reduce energy consumption and still keep a high level of thermal comfort for staff and residents.
