Service provider who will support the Local Authority to delivery its statutory duty under Raising the Participation Aged (RPA) to ensure that all young people participate in education, employment or training until their 18th Birthday. Specifically, the service will focus on brokering sustainable relationships between local employers and Hounslow Secondary Schools/West Thames College and enabling the development of activities and projects that enhance the Careers Education Curricula for young people (11-19 years old). The full offer to schools and young people will be delivered in partnership with the 14-19 Service within LB Hounslow and will involve close partnership working with Secondary Schools, Special Schools, West Thames College, Woodbridge Park Education Service (Alternative Provision) and the CEIAG network and Senior Leaders of Teaching and Learning group through the Hounslow Education Partnership. The service will support both the YSEG Universal offer (i.e.to support all young people to make positive post 16 transitions) alongside the more targeted offer (i.e. support for those who are disadvantaged or face specific barriers which make them more likely to become NEET post 16). The service provider will need to give consideration as to how to support employers to engage with and support those most at Risk of becoming NEET. The service provider will also be expected to focus employer engagement with local sectors/employers where future labour needs are anticipated either linked to predicted growth or due to labour shortages/high levels of vacancies.
