A 2 stage mini competition was undertaken through the NHS Construction framework. A single supplier was selected through stage 1, and we have now awarded the final contract following price finalisation through stage 2.
Warwick District Council (WDC) sought a Contractor for the demolition of Castle Farm Recreation Centre and Abbey Fields Swimming Pool in order to implement Phase Two of the Leisure Development Programme (LDP). Both sites are located in close proximity to each other in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
A contract was appointed following a mini competition through the Procure Public framework for demolition. For practical reasons, although a single award has been made, the contract has been split into 2 contracts to make the management of each site easier.
Warwick District Council, supported by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) are looking for a suitable provider(s) to manage its park tennis court facilities, including the provision of an accessible, community tennis programme. Our aim is to encourage more people to play tennis, whilst also implementing a delivery model which is financially sustainable.
The Council intends for these provisions to be undertaken through a concession contract arrangement, and will split the opportunity into 4 offerings:
o Lot 1 - Victoria Park, Leamington Spa,
o Lot 2 - Christchurch Gardens, Leamington Spa**,
o Lot 3 - St Nicholas Park, Warwick
o Lot 4 - all sites*
The Estimated total value of this Concession Contract is ?289,920 for 5 years.
The Contract will be for a period of five years with the option of up to 5 years extension. Anticipated start date is April 2023 .

Tenders are invited for the Appointment of Architectural Services for the Design and Refurbishment of Leamington Spa Town Hall as a Creative Hub. Warwick District Council requires delivery of RIBA stages 1-6 for work at Leamington Town Hall. The main objective of this project is for the building to be an attractive proposition to the creative sector and, more broadly, the people who live, work and visit the area. The Town Hall is a Grade II listed building and is also surrounded by other listed buildings; it is also within the Leamington Spa Conservation Area. The contract will commence July 2022 and complete at the end of March 2024.Estimated value of contract is £160,000. The authority is intending to tender using the open procedure. Warwick District Council is looking for a theatrical production company to produce its annual pantomime at the Royal Spa Centre in the years 2025/26, 2026/2027, 2027/28, with the possibility to extend by a further 2 years.We expect the production company to contract and pay full cast and show crew, source wardrobe, scenery, and the special effects involved in creating a full-scale professional production suited to the venue’s size and scale and the regional audience.We expect a year-long ongoing marketing campaign to be associated with the production, there will need to be dedicated ongoing marketing support from the production company. This will be carried out in conjunction with the venue in-house marketing team.

In 2020 Warwick District Council agreed a masterplan for the site at Newbold Comyn, following the closure of the golf course there. The site is open and accommodates a combination of activities including informal walking and cycling access, a nature reserve, play areas, formal football pitches, a public house and venue space and a leisure centre. The masterplan was developed to future-proof its use and maintenance, and to update the range of activities there.Warwick District Council is seeking to appoint an operator to provide services to run cycle trails and associated facilities at Newbold Comyn in Royal Leamington Spa. At the end of this period, the Council will provide the option to extend for up to a further 5 years. During the initial period there will be a break clause for either party after 24 months of the contract commencement.
